PostSubject: Chamilia   Mon Jun 16, 2008 4:45 pm

Name: Chamilia (She can’t remember her last name since she’s never heard it, so she makes up different last names as she goes along.)

Race: Human

Hometown: Mi’ihen Highroad

Age: 24

Height: 5’8’’

Weight: 132 lbs.

Appearance: Chamilia’s personality isn’t the only thing unique (or just weird, maybe?) about her. Her appearance is quite different than most; Chamilia has bright pink eyes, that can sometimes change hues depending on her mood (If she feels the emotion strong enough, or sometimes if she’s changing from Day to Night, but it doesn’t happen often.). In Day form, her eyes will get brighter and lighter (sometimes to the point where the look see-through, almost.). In Night form, her eyes will become a deeper pink, almost red (But they haven’t turned completely red yet; she’d have to get extremely angry and neither Day nor Night can be arsed with anything that long.). Her eyes have earned her the nickname Pinky in many places, though you’d be wise to not call her that.

Chamilia has bright purple hair, which stops just above her butt. Her bangs are cut spiky and long, stopping just before her eyes. On either side of her face, she some of her hair framing her face, and those sections of hair stop a bit after her chin. Since this isn’t long enough to hang with the rest of her hair, she’s always tucking it behind her ear. She’ll braid the rest of her hair, put into one or more ponytails, or put her hair into a bun, depending on how she feels and what’s going on.

Chamilia has an hour glass shaped figure, and is very slim from her constant moving about (And she has a high metabolism. ;D). No one would expect this, though, from watching her eat. Her stomach has been called many things; a bottomless pit is at the top of the list. She’s also got an iron stomach. She’s joined food contests for money, and has beaten many men and women alike. Chamilia has tan skin, which really makes her eye and hair color stand out. She has semi-long, black painted nails, and she likes to tap them on hard surfaces to hear them click (irrelevant, but…yeah.). Over her hands she has plain black fingerless gloves that go up to about the elbow.

Her outfit consists of a black tube top, which she keeps in place using one big black ribbon on either side like a strap. The ribbons go up and around her neck, and they’re tied like a choker. In truth, it’s actually kind of loose so it doesn’t constrict the movement of her neck and choke her, but it’s not loose enough for anyone to be able to easily undo it. The bow from the ribbons on her neck is on the left side of her face. This changes though, as she takes it off and puts it back on, so it can also be on the right. Hey, no one’s perfect. From the bottom of the shirt, there are another two ribbons, also black. There’s one on each side of the shirt, and they wrap around her stomach, and stop just before her shorts. These ribbons are also done semi-loose, so they don’t constrict her movement. The ribbons are made from a special material, and they are very strong so they’re not easy to cut.

Her bottoms are black shorts. Simple, right? Wrong. Her shorts are a bit before her mid-thigh. She’s got different sizes of black belts hanging from them; about five in total. They go from smallest and skinniest, to biggest and thickest. For footwear, she’s got black tennis shoes (do they have tennis shoes…?). Over these, she wears black leg-warmer things (XD). They go up to her lower thigh. Despite their leather-like appearance, they’re completely flexible and cloth-like (To allow her to bend her knees easily). These make her shoes seem like boots (she wants to wear boots, but they would weigh her down.).

Over all of this, Chamilia wears a long hooded black jacket, which ends at about her knees. Usually it’s open. The sleeves are very long, stopping a bit more than two inches past her hands. The bottom, sleeves, and hood are trimmed with white fur. Fortunately, these are the only places on the jacket that have fur (Or maybe unfortunate; she’s gonna be cold as hell.). It’s a good thing she doesn’t get cold easily…

Battle: It isn’t good to fight her while she’s in her Night mood (Though sometimes she automatically reverts to Night before a fight), because she shows no mercy. Her fighting style is rather cruel, and she tends to fight more with summons and magic than physically in this mood. She barely speaks while she fights, aside from uttering her summon or a spell. When in Day mode she’s bouncy and jumpy, and it’s very hard to get her still long enough to hit her. She fights more physically in this mode, using her whip. She tends to shout crude insults at the opponent—be it fiend, human, or otherwise. Sometimes, depending on the situation, she’ll switch modes while in battle. This isn’t good though, since the change leaves her temporarily open and defenseless. Before changing, she’ll most likely knock her opponent down. Day and Night both have attacks to suit them, and if Day tries to use Night’s attack, it won’t be as strong, and vice versa. For example:

Day Wheel: A very strong, rapid attack Chamilia uses as Day; she swings her whip at her side like a wheel or windmill almost. She can hit an opponent up to ten times with this attack. She spins it very fast, and it’s a pain to dodge because of the whip’s long range. It’s hard to stop once it’s started though, so she would be open for attacking while using this move.

Night Flash: Night Chamilia can use a simple thunder spell at it’s weakest, making it nothing more than a harmless flash. She may use this to stun enemies. She can also use this to light a way in the dark (though it would be best not to look directly into it.), or alert others to her presence and get help. It’s the magical equivalent of a flare (Like the ones on boats.).

If Day Chamilia tried to use Night’s Night Flash, it wouldn’t have the same effect if it even worked at all. If Night Chamilia tried to use Day Wheel, she’d end up hurting herself probably.

Personality: Chamilia is a strange character indeed. She’s a bit bi-polar; one minute she’s very mature and wise for her age, and the next she’s acting crazy and silly. She takes things in stride, both good and bad, and she deals with many things by smiling and cursing (or smirking and cursing, in Night mode.). She calls her calm, collective side Night, and her wild, crazy side Day. The way she carries herself and the way her eyes look are giveaways as to what side she is.

During her Night phase, her eyes are always a half-lidded, as though she is bored or very calm. Her head is always tilted slightly to her right, and her gaze is somewhat calculating. She speaks in a very monotonous voice, and her reply or statement is usually sarcastic, but wise. She can come off as cold in this mood sometimes, but that’s because of her blunt nature. She feels no need to sugar-coat the truth. She is a very good person to get advice (and honest opinions) from in both moods, but this one more so (Especially for honest opinions.). She loves helping people, but don’t come to her with any bull or she’ll make you regret it. Her questions and requests sometimes come out like statements and demands, and people who aren’t used to her may get angry. This isn’t good, because Night-Chamilia will get angry right back…just in a calmer way. Now, this isn’t to say she’s mean; she’s actually very polite with strangers (Unless you’re a jackass, then she’ll get you.). She’s a good listener in this form, and is good at making solutions, but she’s not such a good talker. She can’t solve many things dealing with conflict between two people. She’s also not very good at comforting people; she can offer an awkward hug and a pat on the back, but that’s usually it (Night-Chamilia: Emotions scare me… Day-Chamilia: Don’t be silly; emotions are like birdies! Night-Chamilia: …). Night-Chamilia isn’t very much of a people person and tends to distance herself from crowds and the like, preferring to sit and listen to nature. She has a hard time listening and taking orders (this is actually in both forms.). She can give a mean, chill-inducing glare to those who try to order her around. She smirks quite a lot, but only because she’s not quite used to smiling. Those who know her know when her smirk is actually a smirk, and when it’s her attempt at smiling. Night-Chamilia is a good liar, but can’t be bothered with the task of sneaking around to steal something. Day is the polar opposite of Night.

Her Day personality carries herself very hyperactively. Day’s eyes are wide and shining with excitement. She’s always looking around to try to take in all the sights at once, regardless of whether or not she’s seen them all already. Day-Chamilia sits still for no one. She speaks loudly and with much emotion, and is very, very animated while speaking (she actually punched someone once while speaking about the weather.). She’s always got a quirky pun or perverted joke to share (This is usually paired with many curse words.). She can offer useful advice sometimes, but she doesn’t dwell on a subject long enough to find an answer most times. Day-Chamilia also loves helping out, but she may either leave in the middle of a task, forget she was supposed to be helping someone, or scare the person she’s helping away (Person: Chamilia, I thought you were supposed to be helping me! Day-Chamilia: But…I saw I birdie! Then I saw a cookie! And it told me to follow it, so…). She’s quick to fight anything that looks at her the wrong way, and likes to hit people with her whip if they don’t listen. People may get frustrated with her behavior, but she finds it funny sometimes. Other times, she may cry because she doesn’t like how people are angry with her, and earlier the rock by the pond told her she was ugly and she just couldn’t handle all the negative energy she was getting from that tree, and the ground was glaring at her in an ugly way… (Day-Chamilia: First you, then the rock! THEN THE FREAKING COOKIE! What the hell did I do to you guys?! *Cries.*) Day-Chamilia is capable of being polite, but sometimes she forgets she’s supposed to be. She isn’t the best person to go to if you want to tell her a story that is more than fifteen words; you’d be better off talking to a tree (Day Chamilia: Those DAMN trees are stealing my FRIENDS!) She opts to skip instead of walking. Day-Chamilia is very…loud, for lack of a better word. Day-Chamilia is the life of the party (She often gets drunk as Day…) and rarely takes things seriously, but is a fierce, albeit playful fighter. She has a habit of blurting out random things in this mode, such as “Rainbows are pretty!”, or “Ooooh, look at the birdy!” Some people are easily annoyed by Day’s active personality, but some get used to it. Day Chamilia is a very good pick-pocket, but a terrible liar (Dr. Phil: Am I ugly, Chamilia? Day-Chamilia: W-well, I wouldn’t use the word…UGLY, Phil…*Busts out in giggles.*).

Both Day- and Night-Chamilia are dense when it comes to things like getting hit on, or people flirting with them, yet they are both very observant and can notice things that others sometimes miss. Both Day and Night have a…bad habit of cursing. Night, however, doesn’t speak enough for most people to hear them. Both Day and Night take losses a little…eum, rough. (Day-Chamilia: OMFG! YOU CHEATED! D: *Cries. Lashes out with whip.* I DEMAND A DO-OVER! Person: *hiding* Um…it’s just chess…) They both have a bit of a drinking problem, but Day is more open about whether or not she’s drunk, and she likes to sing when she’s drunk. She sounds pretty good but unfortunately, this is the only time she sounds good. Night holds her liquor better and stays relatively silent.

Biography: In truth, Chamilia was born completely by mistake. Her mother hadn’t expected (nor wanted) to get pregnant, nor had she expected to have a child with such odd looks. She looks nothing like her mother or her father, which even led her mother to believe that Chamilia wasn’t hers. She had become so afraid of her daughter that she handed Chamilia off to a distant uncle because she couldn’t bare to look into her face. This was shortly before she turned one, so she never knew her mother or father, and has no names to go by since she never asked her uncle.

Chamilia developed her cursing habit from listening to her uncle. Since he ran a bar (The actual ‘house’ part of it was upstairs), Chamilia would sit and listen to the older men converse. She hadn’t known what she was saying was bad, and her uncle never corrected her. By the time she realized what she was doing, it was too late to stop.

No one knows exactly how Day and Night Chamilia formed, but sometimes when Chamilia felt like she needed a release, she would pretend to be a different person. She would stay as this person until she felt like she needed a release again, and then the cycle would repeat. She ended up actually making herself into two people that act completely different, yet share the same mind.

Since her uncle wasn’t really all that great of a father figure (actually, he was terrible.), she didn’t go to school and taught herself at home from the few books he owned, but she would pick pocket books from anyone who happened to bring them to her uncle’s bar, or any of his friends that visited (she would usually do this as Day-Chamilia.). When asked about the disappearance of said books, she could easily lie it off (But only as Night-Chamilia.).

When she was about thirteen or so (She looked older than she actually was), her uncle had become short on help and put her to work as a waitress. She got money from tips that the men paid her. She had always wanted to quit; she couldn’t stand how the men looked at her and flirted with her (Well, Night-Chamilia couldn’t; Day-Chamilia didn’t sit long enough for anyone to get a good look at her.). So, she saved her money up so she could possibly run away. Around fourteen or so, her uncle moved her up a step and she became a bartender. One night, when he left her to close up, she wondered what all the buzz was about alcohol. So she tried some. The rest is history. After much training, she mastered the art of mixing drinks (She had to work overtime anyway for all of the ‘missing’ alcohol.).

A while after her sixteenth birthday, she figured she had enough to get out and stay at a hotel far away enough until she could find work somewhere and stand on her own two feet. And boy, was she wrong. Hotels cost MUCH more than she thought, so she ended up having to work different jobs (Picking up trash, tidying homes, dog walking, babysitting, BARTENDING—well, that one wasn’t so bad.). So ever since, she’s been a wanderer of sorts; looking for work in different towns until she has enough money to go to the next. She’s not sure what she’s looking for but hey; traveling is fun.

Password: “Oh, look! It’s a flock of flying COOKIES!” ~Day-Chamilia (Because I just COULDN’T type Cookies in like a normal person.)

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post here or not, but isn't the Mi'ihen Highroad more of a road rather than a hometown?

You can post in any thread here. Now, you make a great point, but that was in FFX land. In SFL the times are a bit different and some locations have changed and others are the same. Please check the Mi'ihen Encyclopedia.

But yes, this is a nice profile, we're going to be adding to it.
