Kat couldn't see what exacly happend in the temple. Everything happend so fast that she couldn't keep up with everything. All she saw where the killed people angry and then unconcious (?) Erk and Shinu having the killer and probably a thief in the corner. Not trying to understand anything she would run to Erk and try to heal him while Shinu, Mieli and Asuma moved on to the Chamber of the Fayth.

She was wondering how long it would take them to get back when she heard fast steps like someone was running. It was her father holding his naginata ready like he was about to fight.

"Father?"

Shinu reached out and grabbed Asuma so that he couldn't get any closer to Erk. He looked to be in bad shape and needed some room to breath.

Just hold on Asuma, let her heal him. Kat, he needs you to provide some curative spells. It could just be a strong case of fatigue. Don't panic and take your time. We'll be leaving shortly after he's ready, so Mieli and Asuma, prepare yourselves for departure while she does her thing.

He nodded to Kat and pulled Asuma back slowly before letting him go. He went over to the corner of the main chamber in the temple and sat down to wait. He smiled to a priest that brought him some water and sipped it slowly as he watched.

"N- no! I.... I'm fine. Just... so tired... I need to rest for a while before we dep... oh flarg. The boat! It was totaled In the battle on the beach!"

Erk slumped down in his bed.

"Sigh... What are we to do? I suppose we could find ships somewhere on the temple operated bays... but... I'm too weak to leave now."

Erk closed his eyes and lay back. "I'm sorry."

Kat looked at Shinu that just cam in and blushed. It was obvious that he got the aeon, he was bigger now, he's muscles seemed to want and get out of the shirt. She would look at the old guado blushing not wanting to show that she liked what she saw. She wouldn't look at him even when she talked to her asking for healing Erk. She would just nod and concentrate.

"Just lay here and I'll heal you, you should be fine after that."

She would cast Cura on the Old guado two times so she was sure he recovered as he should. Then she would smile at him kindly.

"You should be fine now."

Shinu watched patiently as Kat tried to heal Erk, her work load was heavy here in Kilika. She seemed like she was done, but of course it was only up to Erk to decide that. Shinu was not going to leave without him.

Well, how are you feeling Erk? Did it work?

"White magic can work wonders, Shinu... but it can't alleviate pure exhaustion. I completely blew my reserves in the temple and on the beach. I'll need a night or two to recuperate, at least..."

"But it doesn't have to be a waste of time. While I'm resting, the rest of the guardians can go about getting us transportation. The boat we came on is completely trashed. No way it's sea-worthy. I have some contacts in the temple-sponsored docks here who could be of assistance, however."

Erk turned to the other assembled guardians. "I need one or more of you to go down to the Nilmas docks, to the northwest of the island. There, you should seek out a fisherman by the title of 'Sam the Long.' Have him come up to the temple if you can. If he refuses, and he might, just tell him to expect a visit from me in a few days..." Erk leaned back into the pillows propping him up... and promptly began to snore.
