PostSubject: The Film Thread   Sat Jun 14, 2008 6:19 pm

Well, for my first thread I wanted to chill and talk about one of my favorite artistic passions. MOVIES!!!!

Anyways what are some of your favorite movies, genres, actors, directors, and whatever else you can think of as relevant to the topic of movies.

I really enjoy a good drama or crime drama movie. Movies by Ridley Scott, Quentin Tarantino, and Christopher Nolan I find very enjoyable like: Gladiator, American Gangster, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Memento, and the like.

I also have a deep passion for avant garde films made by David Lych and Darren Aronofsky. Mulholland Drive and Requiem for a Dream have to be the most emotional movies out there.

Don't forget those English Gangster Comedy by Guy Ritchie. Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels along with Snatch are the shit. They have some of the best dialogue and characters ever concieved.

God damn I love movies.

Favorite movies: The Godfather, The Godfather 2, The Matrix (not the sequels!), Sean of the Dead, Scary Movies 1-3, The Blues Brothers, Waiting, National Lampoons: Van Wilder, Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty, Little Miss Sunshine, 300, etc.

^^ THAT is why she's my favorite actress. Though when I think about it, she actually can act decently.

Which is insane. She's pretty versatile actually. But the best hot actress that can act is Halle Berry. GAWD.

Denzel eh? Ever seen Ricochet or the Bone Collector? He's got a lot of good movies. He's selective about what he does, which is a reason for that. Just like Russell Crowe, Denzel doesn't take a role he doesn't think is a good role. Denzel's best was Training Day in my opinion. His character was straight up and wicked.

Russell Crowe has to be my favorite actor, no one else comes close.

Actresses, Eva Green and Kate Beckinsale come to mind.

Ricochet, boy, that goes way back to our younger days, a classic. The bone collector was what? 2000? Something like that, another Denzel work of art.

Russell Crowe is definitely a solid actor that I can respect. I liked him a lot in American Gangster for sure.

Vince, did you enjoy the Jessica Alba link up there in my earlier post?

Jessica is always good.

More my style

Eva Green

Kate Beckinsale

and of course I believe women will appreciate these, because they demonstrate the excellence of the female physique.

I'm into the horror movies.

Robert Englund (Freddy - Nightmare on Elm st), Ken Kurzinger (Jason - Freddy vs. Jason), Glen Jacobs (a.k.a Kane) and Doug Bradley (Pinhead - Hellraiser) are some of my fav actors.

Some of my all time favourate horrors are: See No Evil, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, Friday 13th, Halloween, Hellraiser.

I'm more into the older 'classics', but I do like some of the modern horrors.

Did you know that movies like See NO Evil & SAW are in a genre called 'Gorenography'?

I really like Halle Berry, Jodie Foster, and Brad Pitt. I don't know why, but George Clooney is blah. And he's uuuugly.

My favorite movies would be North Country, Memoirs of a Geisha, and some other ones I can't think of. :[

Charlie you look quite down with your big fat eyes and your big fat frown.
The world doesn't have to be so graaaaaaaaay.

Charlie, when your life's a mess
When you're feeling blue, always in distress,
I know what can wash that sad away.

All you have to do is:

Put a banana in your ear!
Put a ripe banana right into your favorite ear!
It's true, so true
Once it's in your gloom will disappear
The bad in the world is hard to hear when in your ear a banana cheers
So go and put a banana in you ear.

Put a banana in your ear!
You will never be happy if you live your life in fear.
It's true, so true
When it's in the skies are bright and clear
Oh every day of every year, the sun shines bright on this big blue sphere
So go and put a banana in your eeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

*bursts into flames*
